About this Website

My name is Chris Whelan. I am a designer, not a model. I live in Sydney and I love making art. It's a passion that is slowly finding some motivation to drive it and some organisation to get it done. I'm actually qualified and experienced in Industrial Design, but when I'm not designing products for someone else, I'm making art or diversifying with photography, web design, graphics, painting or 3D animation.

I recently worked on a project for my local council called Insight Out of Sight. Leichhardt Council invited residents to submit designs for artwork on 8 RTA Signal Boxes in the area. Eight finalists were chosen to paint their design and by luck or by rigged jury I won 2nd place. I did a time-lapse video of the process:
